The property was very clean, the room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. The cooked breakfast was spot on and the fresh fruit salad was lovely. Andy and Tina were both very friendly and welcoming and very attentive. The property is a short walk to all amenities, the beach and castle and easily accessible from the bus stops and train station.his is where the review body goes. Laura
March 19 (Trip Advisor)
Well, quite apart from the stunning and convenient location, the place itself was fabulous. The room we stayed in was large and airy and absolutely spotless, including the en suite bathroom. Our room also had complementary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. The full English breakfast was served fresh and hot, with a choice of fried, scrambled, boiled or poached eggs, together with toast, and tea/coffee. There was also a variety of cereals and juices, together with fresh fruit and yoghurt. Put it this way, I didn’t need lunch! Andy and Tina are tremendous hosts and made us welcome into their home from start to finish. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and would recommend to anyone.
March 19 (Booking.com) Very nice and friendly, breakfast time was done to suit us whatever time we wanted it. Miriam
April 19 (Booking.com) This property is in a great location to explore Criccieth and the wider north Wales region but it’s Tina and Andy that really make it stand out. We got a warm welcome every morning, the breakfasts are fabulous and we had the best sleep in ages. Storm
April 19 (Booking.com) A perfect 3 night stay. Good location. Great hosts. Great breakfast. Great place. Diane
April 19 (Booking.com) Myself and girlfriend stayed here and it was perfect. Andy and Tina were absolute legends! Friendly helpful and knows how to pour a Gin for good value, Tina can cook a decent breakfast. No complaints from us at all!!
Good location and they have gone the extra mile in areas you wouldn’t think. The place is what I would call classic style but done really well, good location to town and all the essentials. Would recommend to any of my close friends and family so that speaks volumes. Thanks again for the stay and the fudge was awesome!! James
April 19 (Booking.com) The couple who ran the B&B were so lovely and accommodating we felt like we were visiting relatives! It’s a great B&B close to all local amenities and just so friendly and welcoming. Helen
April 19 (Booking.com) Excellent hosts, very friendly ,the breakfast was awesome ,really enjoyed our stay. Stephen
April 19 (Booking.com) The breakfasts were delicious. There were extra touches over the Easter weekend with a little chocolate bunny in the room on arrival and a Malteser bunny on each table on Easter Sunday. Tina and Andy made you feel very welcome and called everyone by their Christian name. Andy gave me ideas on sightseeing whilst I was there. Tina makes fudge – I enjoyed the chocolate and Baileys fudge – another personal touch. Wonderful location. Bus stop nearby. Short walk to the station and beach. There was a lovely selection of teas. Toiletries provided. Would highly recommend. Karen
April 19 (Booking.com) We will return. Very good breakfast. Beautiful location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Elizabeth
April 19 (Trip Advisor) We had a lovely break over the Easter weekend, Tina and Andy gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived.
The B&B is in a superb location 5 minutes’ walk from the centre of Criccieth. We were in room 11 which was very large, spacious with comfy bed and spotlessly clean.
Plenty of choice for breakfast, which was cooked fresh and arrived at the table lovely and hot. Tina’s homemade chocolate and Baileys fudge – it’s absolutely superb, if you ever get chance to try it.
Tina and Andy are doing a fantastic job and go out of their way to ensure everything is right, on Easter Sunday morning every guest came down to find a gift (chocolate bunny) on their table.
we loved our weekend and would have no hesitation in returning. David
April 19 (Trip Advisor) A fantastic, traditional style B&B We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely B&B. Andy and Tina were great hosts and made us most welcome. Our room (number 6) was large, bright, airy and spotlessly clean with comfy beds. The cooked breakfast was fabulous, using high quality ingredients – it was one of the best we’ve ever enjoyed. Oh, and if Tina offers you some of her homemade chocolate and Baileys fudge – do not say no! It is to die for 🙂 We loved our weekend in Criccieth and when we visit next time we will have no hesitation returning back to this B&B. Excellent value for money.
April 19 (Trip Advisor) Fantastic! We had a lovely break in Criccieth over Easter weekend and our stay at Bron Rhiw really made it worthwhile. Tina and Andy are a great team and we received a very warm welcome. The B&B is cosy and in a great location. Our room (9) was bigger than I expected and the beds were so comfy. Even though we were at the front of the house we didn’t hear a peep from the road in front or from elsewhere in the building. One thing that really stood out was the breakfasts, made fresh by Tina. The smell of bacon wafting up the stairs each morning had my mouth watering! I can’t believe Tina and Andy have only had Bron Rhiw since October 2018 as they’re doing such a fantastic job. We’ll definitely be coming back to Criccieth and this place is our first choice for accommodation. Thanks again guys for a lovely time.
April 19 (Trip Advisor) A welcoming authentic B&B in CricciethI stayed here when I was working at the local college in Pwllheli in early March 2019. I received a warm welcome and a guide to the fire escapes and emergency procedure by the owner. The room was spotlessly clean and breakfast in the morning was delicious with local produce featuring nicely. It was heartwarming to receive such a warm welcome and to be able to to be welcomed to stay in such a nice couple’s home.
May 19 (Booking.com) 10 Thoroughly recommend Bron Rhiw and its friendly and helpful owners – book it and see for yourself! Lovely house with lots of character and my single room was spotless and of a very generous size, with everything you could want. The owners – Tina and Andy were really friendly and helpful, and I was presented with home made fudge as a bonus! Breakfast is terrific and freshly cooked to order. Thoroughly recommend Bron Rhiw for a stay in this area – I hope to return.
May 19 (Booking.com) 10 Lovely accommodation , proprietors so welcoming and friendly , clean , excellent food and bedroom clean ,neat and spacious
May 19 (Booking.com) I would happily stay there again. Very good value for money
May 19 (Booking.com) 10 Must come again! A warm welcome, comfortable well-appointed room, everything spotlessly clean and a really good freshly cooked breakfast. Bron Rhiw is well situated near the town centre near shops, pubs, etc., but still quiet and peaceful. Andy keeps an eagle eye over breakfast, and Tina makes the best fudge…
June 19 (Booking.com) 10 The hosts were lovely people and couldn’t be more friendlier. The breakfast was gorgeous and so was the homemade fudge. (just a shame we didn’t get to try the cherry) would definitely recommend the guesthouse to anyone.
June 19 (Booking.com) 10 Wonderful short break – thank you Tina and Andy. Lovely bright clean room and en-suite. Cooked breakfast was excellent – also enjoyed the fresh fruit salad with Greek yoghurt.
June 19 (Booking.com) 10 Our stay at Bron Rhiw! Tina & Andy were so welcoming and friendly. Our room was clean, bright and airy we even had a view of the sea. Breakfast was delicious and all freshly cooked. Bron Rhiw is situated just a short walk down to the seafront and there are plenty of places to eat on the way, just a short drive away is The Goat a pub with delicious food and a really lovely atmosphere well worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay so a big thank you to Tina & Andy.
June 19 (Trip Advisor) Excellent Base for Golfing Break We have just returned from a 5 day trip at this great hotel. There were 4 of us up here for a bit of a golf tour, and Andy and Tina made us feel very welcome. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfasts were brilliant, cooked to order by Tina, and well served by Andy. It was useful to have Andy, s bar available in the evenings. The G & T, s went down well before wandering down the hill for dinner. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone, if you stay in the area.
June 19 (Trip Advisor) Excellent short break The new owners Tina and Andy are very welcoming and have maintained the high standard. Excellently cooked breakfasts and GF catered on request. Comfortable rooms and bar/lounge. A relaxing short break. Criccieth is a good base for exploring the Llyn peninsula with its many beaches and has several good restaurants for eating out in the evening. There was actually hot beach weather on the last couple of days.
July 19 (Booking.com) 10 Friendly and helpful. Tasty breakfast and comfortable bed. Plenty of space in room 6. Andy and Tina were attentive hosts. Couldn’t have asked for more.
July 19 (Booking.com) 10 Clean and very comfortable accommodation, fabulous quality breakfast , welcoming hosts Tina and Andy, thank you!
July 19 (Booking.com) 10 A very enjoyable short break in a guest house which I would be happy to recommend to anyone. The whole experience was excellent – the good-sized room, the facilities, the breakfast and the attention paid to guests by Tina and Andy
July 19 (Booking.com) 10 I would absolutely recommend a short stay at this excellent establishment in lovely Criccieth. Breakfast was absolutely first class, with nothing too much trouble for hosts Andy and Tina. The Bron Rhiw was on a side road and was lovely and quiet leading to a peaceful stay.
July 19 (Booking.com) 9.6 Tina a d Andy made me feel welcome. I was alone but immediately felt like I was amongst friends. Food was good. My room had every comfort I could wish for
July 19 (Booking.com) 10 Very happy with my stay and would definitely come back again. The location was perfect; a short walk from the beach, castle and high street. The owners, Tina and Andy, were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Had a great night’s sleep! What more do you want from a guest house?
July 19 (Booking.com) 10 Exceptional Guest House with outstanding service – Highly recommended! Great location, 5 minute walk to the town centre and a further 3/4 minutes to the sea front/beach. A comprehensive choice for breakfast but most importantly great quality local products (real bacon and sausages etc). Room was as per the web, good size with comfortable mattress and pillows and although facing the road very quiet for a great night’s sleep. Our hosts Tina and Andy were very friendly and accommodating and a hard working genuinely nice couple. It was also quite evident during our stay that a lot of our fellow guests were regular customers to Bron Rhiw which again is a testament to Tina and Andy and the quality of the service they provide.
July 19 (Trip Advisor) Renewed my faith in guest houses After staying at some really poor guest houses years ago I have gotten into the habit of staying at Premier Inns and the like when I travel. However, I decided to break this habit by giving guest houses another chance and am so glad I did as Bron Rhiw has shown me how good they can be. I was relaxed as soon as I walked in the front door. The owners, Tina and Andy, were very friendly and welcoming, making sure I was informed about everything I needed for my stay. My room was very clean and had everything I required, including a comfortable bed which ensured I had two great nights of sleep, leaving me fresh for activities in the day. The location is very good and I only had a short walk to the high street, ATM, beach, castle and the many eateries scattered about. The breakfasts on offer were excellent and really set me up for the day ahead. I was pleasantly surprised to be given a bag of fudge, made by Tina, on the day I left and it came in very handy on my journey home, when I was delayed in a traffic jam caused by a stuck heavy load, and very tasty it was too. Finally, I can put those bad memories of awful guest houses of the past well and truly behind me. Well, what are you all waiting for, book a room!
July 19 (Trip Advisor) A brilliant five days Six of us (3 couples) have just spent 4 nights (5 days) at Bron Rhiw in Criccieth. The rooms were most comfortable and clean. The breakfasts, both the full English and the Smoked Salmon & Scrabbled Egg, were amazing. Tina and Andy were wonderful hosts and we would recommend a stay at this hotel to anyone. Tina’s Baileys Chocolate fudge is a must if she offers you some. A nearby restaurant (Poachers) is within walking distance of the hotel and was recommended by Tina and Andy and this is a little gem for an evening meal. If there is a downside to the hotel, it only has 3 car park spaces but finding free street parking right outside the hotel or nearby was not a problem.
July 19 (Trip Advisor) Great guesthouse Staying at Bron Rhiw guesthouse was a pleasure. Tina and Andy are helpful and Nice. The room I had was clean, spacious, had a nice bathroom and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast had a lot of choises. Å great place to stay om Criccieth!

Centrally located and just a short walk to Main Street and train station. Breakfast was tasty. Andy and Tina are friendly and engaging hosts.

Everything was spot on including the welcome, the upkeep and cleanliness, the friendliness of the hosts, the breakfasts and even the delicious bonus fudge provided by Tina. Aug 19 (Trip Advisor) 2 night break Tina and Andy were great hosts told us a lot about the area, Room was nice very clean Fresh cooked breakfast by Tina was very nice and a good selection of continental, Would love to go back again as we were made to feel very welcome
Aug 19 (Trip Advisor) A real gem of a find After deliberating all week whether to have a few days away for the August Bank Holiday my wife and I decided last minute to see what was available. We tried everywhere but to no avail. Suddenly I discovered that Bron Rhiw had one double room available for the weekend so I went ahead and booked it. We arrived at approx 4pm and we were given a warm welcome by Andy the owner who showed us to our room. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. At breakfast the next morning we had the pleasure of meeting Andy’s wife Tina who had cooked the fantastic breakfast we had just consumed. The breakfast menu was excellent with an assortment of cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt’s and of course a full cooked option. It was good to know that all the produce had been sourced locally. Freshly brewed coffee made it an even better experience. Tina and Andy went out of their way to ensure everything was good with our stay at Bron Rhiw, two genuinely nice people who really care. I have written numerous reviews on places we stay at and I always thinks it right to mention the negatives too. This time I am unable to find anything that didn’t meet our standards. We will definitely return there the next time we return to North Wales, It’s an ideal place to stay for visiting the whole of the area. Good luck Tina and Andy we wish you every success for many years to come.
Sept 19 (Trip Advisor) Fantastic long weekend stayThis is the third time we have stayed at the Bron Rhiw and it gets better every time. Tina and Andy are excellent hosts and do everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Rooms are spotless, breakfast superb and service is very friendly. We will definitely be back again next year and would recommend it to anyone.
Sept 19 (Trip Advisor) The best kept secret in Criccieth Bron Rhiw is a lovely old house situated close to the centre of Criccieth. It is well maintained, spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable. I had stayed at Bron Rhiw before, and immediately felt a sense of homecoming when returning. Tina and Andy are the perfect hosts – welcoming, friendly and helpful, whilst taking a genuine interest in their guests. Downstairs you will find a spacious dining room where breakfast is served, and also a large residents lounge together with ‘Andy’s Bar’. The lounge is tastefully decorated and has several large, comfortable sofas. The bedrooms are all upstairs. My room was light and airy and had a comfortable bed, en-suite bathroom with a good shower, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. It was prepared to a high standard each day. The breakfast was very good, cooked by Tina and served by Andy. There was good choice of items including cereals, juices, yogurt, fresh fruit salad (lovely) as well as a full cooked breakfast made from top-quality, locally sourced ingredients. Various other breakfast options were also offered. Tina also makes fudge which is becoming legendary – if you are offered some then you’ll certainly enjoy it. So, if you are planning to stay in the Criccieth area, then Bron Rhiw is a very good place to stay – and you will not be disappointed. Will I be going back? Certainly, so please leave room for me.
Sept 19 (Trip Advisor) Well, this is a nice surprise find! Being the first visit to the area, it was a bit of a ‘pin in a map’ exercise to select a place to stay, and I landed on Bron Rhiw. Boy am I glad I did! The room is very clean and tidy; bed lovely and comfortable; en suite modern and fresh – good start! Andy and Tina are very welcoming, convivial hosts and treat you as a friend from the start. There’s a good tour when you arrive, pointing out all the essentials (fire assembly, breakfast, access, parking, etc.). Room is good (TV, kettle etc., hairdryer, nice thick curtains and carpet). It’s very quiet with new double glazing. Slept very well. Breakfast was all you could hope for. Cereals, juice, yogurts, etc. to start, then into the Full English, or variations as you like. A good point is your breakfast table is your room number – saves any issues of singles occupying the table laid for four…! Good supply of coffee/tea as you progress through the good-standard breakfast. Nice sausages, really good bacon, portobello mushroom, tasty egg & beans – all really well cooked. There’s a lounge and a small bar for your evening relaxation. Some off-road parking. Andy and Tina will recommend places to go, eat or visit, as well as places to avoid – very useful if you don’t know the area and prefer local knowledge to TA, Google or whatever… Only down side of Bron Rhiw is there’s no lift, but what do you expect in a Victorian/Edwardian building? If you’re limited on mobility, maybe this place isn’t for you, but if stairs are ok, it is a fantastic place and well worth checking in to. Oh and don’t forget Tina’s home-made fudge! Excellent!
Sept 19 (Booking.com) 10 Andrew and Tina were very welcoming, they were kind and thoughtful on our special weekend away, the room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable, breakfast was great and very filling. Thank you once again.

Sept 19 (Booking.com) 10 Exceptional Very warm welcome from the owners Tina and Andy who are a lovely friendly couple. Nothing too much trouble. Our room and en-suite was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated as is the rest of the property. Lovely soft white towels. Great breakfast with lots to choose from. Bonus was Tina’s treat of home made fudge. Thank you Tina and Andy for making our few days away so enjoyable. Will definitely be returning.
Oct 19 (Trip Advisor) Very welcoming, clean and large rooms, with lovely breakfast and bar on site. We recently stayed here for two nights in October 2019 – we had a double room and a twin room on the first floor. We was able to park at the back of the property and no issue with this even though we drive a large SUV. On arrival we was greeted by Andy and Tina who were both very welcoming and carried our cases upstairs. One of our party was poorly and needed emergency dental treatment, Tina got straight on the phone to numerous dentists for an appointment for us. Both rooms were presented extremely clean and well furnished, with everything in that you need. The beds were extremely comfortable and we all slept very well with no disturbances. The breakfast was freshly cooked and was beautiful, setting us up for the day. On one morning one of the party was not able to come down for breakfast as was unwell but Tina did them a breakfast and wrapped it up for them which was very kind. There were local pubs, restaurants and shops to visit within walking distance. Tina and Andy were knowledgable of the area and was able to advise where to eat ect. The bar area is a lovely relaxing area and Andy was there to serve us a selection of drinks until 9.45pm which we felt was more than reasonable. Would definitely return. Thanks for taking care of us so well.
Nov 19 (Trip Advisor) Perfect – Home from home We were looking for somewhere to stay in Criccieth for a couple of nights for a short break. We came across the Bron Rhiw B & B / Guest House. We could not have been more delighted with this discovery. It is a warm and welcoming location, the rooms are immaculately clean and presented with all facilities that you would expect. The breakfast is all locally sourced and is excellent. Andy & Tina the owners make you feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door and are on hand to ensure your stay is perfect. This was the first time that we have stayed here but it will not be our last, we will definitely go back.
